Resolutions
Hello friendly stranger!
I, like many people, have resolutions. Not just for New Year's,
but throughout the year. I'm constantly coming up with goals, formulating
visions. Sadly, most of my resolutions are only partially realized. I receive a
burst of inspiration one week and will throw my whole being into an idea until I
get bored, or frustrated the following week, and move on.
It sucks.
Every so often, I simply resolve to achieve something. To work on that 3 piece painting I envisioned
for my living room. To compile my
mother's recipes and learn to make her dishes myself. To run every day. To
research and apply for internships. The concept of accomplishing those simple
tasks are so sweet while I ruminate on them in bed at night or while daydreaming on the
subway. But when time comes to get off my butt and actual do it, I find excuses. I'll doodle. Or check my phone.
Or start a blog.
And that my friends,
is how Hello Rosy World came to be.
...
Thanks for reading, and I wish you the best of luck with your own resolutions!

Hello Rosy World!
Hello friendly stranger!
Welcome to the blog of a part-time optimist, full-time foodie and casual observer of the world.
Welcome to the blog of a part-time optimist, full-time foodie and casual observer of the world.
I can't quite tell you what I'll be writing about, as I'm still discovering my inner writer. I predict it will be a delicious jumble of music, books, cheesy puns and heart-warming stories -- in essence chicken soup for the spirit.
(I don't say soul here, because I'm a little paranoid about copyright infringement. Also, has my full-frontal foodie revealed itself yet?)

For the time being, to give you a sense of reward for dropping by, here is a link to Hank Green's "53 Terrible Jokes!", all told in under 4 brilliant minutes. Have fun!
